i am a wanderer by nature, prone to daydreaming, adventuring, and generally getting lost in thought.

Suspended wanderings are my moments of investigation, of exploration on a deeper level, fueled by intersections between inward and outward musings. Mapping out inner dialogues and interpreting surfaces of the natural world direct my visual journeys through time and space.

a medium/method of painting using melted wax and resins

More than any other medium i've used, encaustic has held me captive to its conversational qualities. i never really know how it will react to my manipulations, and i am forced to respond with new ideas and actions to its unpredictable surfaces. Simply put, it's an adventure!
